Thu về theo lối gió
khua mái chèo động mây
chiều nay ta ngồi gõ

Cùng tà dương ngơ ngác

Ai xuôi dòng năm tháng
quên mang khúc ca buồn
người đi hoa cỏ úa

Cuối hiên vệt rêu biếc

Like Autumn Wind Returning
Autumn returns along the wind’s path
stirring oars, touching the clouds.
This evening, I sit, tapping the wine glass,
humming tunes of intoxication.
With the bewildered sunset,
sunlight drops in fading dreams.
Lyrics flow down the white river,
echoing melodies of love’s longings.
Who drifts with the passing months and years,
forgetting to carry the song of love’s yearnings.
On your leaving, grass and flowers withered,
season changed drastically for me from spring to winter.
At the porch’s end, a streak of green moss
seals the memory of that someone.
Teasing the autumn wind, the snow flowers
falling on the yard layer upon layer.
